Get to Know Shalise

I am blessed to have been born and raised in Eureka and I love the area we live in. I originally went to school for architectural engineering and at the same time was working as a receptionist at a mortgage company. As I gained skills and moved up to being a loan assistant and loan processor, I liked the business so much that I switched my major and in 2002 I graduated from Humboldt State University with a double major in Business and Economics. After graduating, I became a loan agent and in December 2009 finally opened my own branch office.

What I love about this business is helping people achieve financial independence and truly understand how to use the resources available to them to create a better life for themselves and their family. That includes counseling people about credit and how to successfully use it, buying a first home and also helping them grow their wealth over time and make strategic investments that enable them and their families to prosper long term.

Each person has their own unique situation and my ability to help people see opportunities and possibilities and ways to make those a reality creates lasting relationships with the people I serve. I help people throughout the course of their life, not only with creative financing solutions for their homes over the years, but also making sure all the pieces of their overall financial situation are working together. That means I get to help people coordinate with their various financial advisors to open the space of possibilities for designing plans for their retirement, future investment, tax strategies, insurance needs and debt management. Your home loan is one piece of that picture, but not the only piece! All the individual pieces have to work together to create a cohesive financial situation.

I am passionate about making sure the actions our clients take today help them achieve their goals and dreams now, but also for the future. The mortgage process doesn’t have to be scary and complicated. It is a process that we help people understand and use as a tool to create long term wealth. I help people navigate the ways they can strategically use their mortgage loan and property investments to create financial independence for themselves and their families. Education is a major component of what I do – people can’t be empowered to make good choices without first knowing what to notice and why those things are important. Once our clients have a full understanding of the options available, we help them choose which of those best suits their situation and goals.

I choose to surround myself with people who work as hard as I do and care deeply about the people we serve. Our team was built on purpose, by design, with the intention of creating an environment where our clients are empowered to make the best financial decisions for their family. We love what we do and it shows!

I am the oldest of four girls and my husband and I have two daughters (lots of girls in our family!). We love sports, cars, hiking and fishing and enjoying the lakes and rivers. My husband teaches High School Auto Shop and coaches many sports. We both play adult sports in addition to supporting our girls in their sports activities. Between serving on various school district committees, volleyball & basketball games, racing cars, FFA activities and taking the kids boating at the lake, there is never a dull moment! When I am not at work you will find me helping at the school with any number of activities, baking delicious treats for people to enjoy or taking some time to go camping and fishing. We work hard and play hard!

Get to Know Jennifer

Hello. My name is Jennifer Paye and as a Mortgage Advisor (NMLS# 1112923) with NEO Home Loans, I am proud to be a part of the Pacific Home Team. Together as an office, we have successfully helped thousands of clients and families with their home financing needs. I enjoy all aspects of real estate and being in the mortgage business! It is a challenging and rewarding career, which for the past 20 years has kept me fully engaged, and continuously learning and growing as an industry professional.

Obtaining a mortgage can sometimes feel daunting, overwhelming, or confusing. I am passionate about understanding my clients’ desires, dreams, and fears in order to help them achieve their goals when purchasing a home. Whether it’s a first-time home buyer, a seasoned home buyer looking to invest in income property or a second home, or helping to refinance an existing loan into a better rate. I strive to make the mortgage process as fun and easy as possible for my clients and real estate partners.

I enjoy building relationships, confidence, and trust while educating on the various financing options that are specific to each clients individual needs so that informed decisions can be made on what likely could be the most significant investment in their lives, a decision that will affect their long-term success.

What brings me joy outside of the office is spending time with my young and high-energy son, Wyatt, and my loving and hardworking husband, Mark. We love spending time with our family and friends, camping, and being on the water, enjoying the beautiful rivers, lakes, and beaches here in the Northern California/Humboldt County area.

I clearly communicate the loan process and all loan options in a manner that is easy to understand – whether you are a first-time homebuyer or someone needing a more complex financing solution. I take genuine care and interest in my client’s real estate goals before, during and after the home loan process.

Get to Know Sally

Sally Macdonald was born and raised in Eureka and is sixth-generation Humboldt County. She grew up in a family run business giving her firsthand experience in all that comes with small business ownership, most importantly the value and importance of excellent customer service. After attending local schools, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts. While living in the bay area post college, she and her husband made the decision to move back to Humboldt County to raise their family with the same small town and community values she was raised with.

Sally joined Pacific Home Team in 2020. She is passionate about the customer experience throughout the lending process and does her best to assist in making it a seamless, positive and happy experience for our borrowers.

Get to Know Terra

Born and raised in Humboldt County, Terra enjoys being with her family and is a proud mom to three girls. When she isn’t working, she loves hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, and all school and sports activities for her girls.

Terra joined our team in 2018 after working in the banking industry for 11 years. She has a dual role as a Loan Coordinator and Loan Processor who manages our client’s transactions from contract to close. Her goal is to make this process as simple and pleasant for our borrowers as she can.

Get to Know Amanda

Amanda was born in Placer County, CA. But having moved to Humboldt County at 11 years old, she considers herself a local. After years of working for the community in local family-owned businesses, she found a satisfying career in the mortgage industry assisting her neighbors achieve their home ownership dreams. Having joined our team in 2021, Amanda is there to guide our clients from disclosures to closing with the goal of making it as smooth and seamless as possible.

Outside of the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, challenging herself with a new recipe, curling up with a good book, and hosting numerous friend and family gatherings.
